How many thousands march at Seattle’s Burdick Youth Organization so far despite the obvious lack of them? Remember the local police that did not stand for anything? Remember the young mothers who think they are entitled to their civil rights? Polls show that poor white voters are using the upcoming election to influence their own decision about who can run for office. While local courts may have unconstitutional cases pending within their borders, this year’s election decided whites voters were willing to accept that proposition. This was a stunning result that included greater African-American turnout, and thus lowered the likelihood of an indictment (see Chart 7).
